The majority of its residents belong to the San community. The San have a long history as nomads, which is why agriculture and livestock keeping are not traditionally part of their way of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through our projects in Kaudwane, we aim on the one hand to raise broader awareness of environmental and animal welfare issues, and on the other hand to offer new opportunities to those who are motivated to make a difference. A particular focus is placed on the younger generation, as they carry the responsibility for the future of conservation. Each of our projects brings tangible benefits to the community and creates space for collaboration, learning, and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specific Community Projects our Community &amp; Education Department is engaging in<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leopard.ch\/index.php\/en\/c-and-e\/community\/ccc\/\">Community Conservation Club<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>World Nature Conservation Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leopard.ch\/index.php\/en\/c-and-e\/community\/school-trip\/\">School trip<\/a> into the Khutse Game Reserve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kaudwane Primary School \u2013 Prize giving ceremony<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental Education Club<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Habitat restoration: Tree planting and seed balls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural and Heritage Day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The village of Kaudwane is located just five kilometres from the entrance to the Khutse Game Reserve and our camp.
